Conduit Lamp

The Conduit Lamp is a study in composing individually inelegant materials into a functional and stylish luminaire. Various lamps and shades can be used in conjunction with the base to express an individual’s tastes: acrylic tubing, bent and linear; various papers, foil, and screening material tensioned in wooden embroidery hoops; and recyclable plastic containers were all explored.

The current incarnation uses a piece of found perforated metal and a 25 watt incandescent. Too dim to work by, it enlivens a dark corner with its internal reflectance and shifting moiré as one walks past.
